As these things go...

Well, as these kinds of vintage vehicles go, I took Graycie into my wonderful mechanic J yesterday for a couple of leaks. If you're familiar with Vanagons, you know that they've got lots of coolant hose. There was a small leak in the back, for which they tightened up a couple of things and think that should take care of it.

I also had them replace some seals on the gas lines that run from the opening of the gas tank. It's a little scary when you fill up and there's a bit of gas dripping out! An easy fix and those will be all set soon as well. Sometimes you have to wait for parts if you don't to the repairs yourself. I suppose even if you do those repairs, you'd have to wait, eh?

Anyway, my mechanic called to give me an update yesterday, and he said, "It's still for sale?" "Yep" "Well, don't change the price, it's good where it's at. People will get exposed to camper vans over the summer and then look for one to buy when the weather gets cooler. Just be patient and wait for the right person".

True story. What I didn't tell him was that I had already dropped the price $500 less than what is on the For Sale sign on the van at the moment. So I guess I'll see if there's any interest with it at $13,500.
